My game keeps crashing every 20ish minutes. I've had the issue since buying the game a week ago. keep getting a issue stating missing files or something. also not entirely sure what's causing the crash though.

Try checking your save to see if something in the code was misplaced or if you downloaded the full game. If not, it's most likely an update thing.

You downloaded off Steam, right?

Restart your computer and launch Steam

Next, you can either right click the game in your Library, or click the gear icon from the game's Library page on the far right

From the drop down menu, select Properties...

Select the Installed Files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files button

I've tried reinstalling on 2 different drives to no avail, disabling steam overlay, lowered graphics, verified integrity of files. I cant really progress in the game and its upsetting.

Not that I know of? You could maybe check the steam page or check if you have any saves prior to the update
