I received update for the Dying Light 2 on Epic games but my friends who play through Steam did not receive the update. Now we can't join a game because of version mismatch. My friends still haven't received update on Steam

I wrote a message to tech support that they have a problem with different versions on Steam and Epic, and got a response ( Do you use GeForce Now, Boosteroid or any other cloud gaming service?
If not, have you used any external mods in your game? If so, which ones, please?

This is some kind of joke, that they don’t understand in the message that this is their problem, they have different versions of the game.
I just love tech support in most companies — you explain the problem and even point out the exact cause, but they still go, “Maybe try restarting your router,” or “Have you tried something else?”, anything but admitting the issue is on their side.
