When i level up with Jai he doesn't give me any perk points, he stopped giving me perk points at level 39 i think and im over lvl 40 and he hasn't given me any

So you can adjust perk points according to your playstyle.

Just get perks that are usefull for a character your playing. Tank, get perks for hp and dmg resitance, ranged, get perks for crafting materials and ranged dmg
