I can't join or invite a friend in co-op I get the message "The game you want to join is no longer available", which is strange to say the least. I did all the basic solutions but nothing helped, I will add that yesterday we played together and the only thing that changed was that I completed New Game+ and started the Bloodie Ties DLC

Try joining someone random. If it works, there's probably something wrong with your friend's game. If he has any mods installed, you can't join or invite him.
