Hallo! I updated my game yesterday and my friend at some point but it says we are using mismatched versions so we can't join each other. In our steam library it says "up to date" under cloud thingy for us both so not sure why we can't connect. Is there somewhere else we can check the update versions so we know? XD

just do a hard restart on steam

make sure you guys have the same version, you can see it in the bottom right corner

my friend got the big update today. not sure why it didn't click yesterday
