Is there any news for people who bought the Extended edition (with free dlc/the Beast)
and have upgraded to a PS5 pro without disc drive in the meanwhile.? Is there a chance I can download/play with only the code or something.?

if you bought the ultimate edition tho
you'll still get the beast for free when it comes out

But how... I can't put my disc in since its such a long time I upgraded to a discless PS5 pro.

Can I download it with my already used code, is it automatic because I've dying light 2 ultimate installed, how.? I have a feeling they are forgetting about this

I don't really get your question
If you're worried about not being able to play dl2 since you own a physical copy while not having a disc reader on a ps5 that's another issue
However if you redeemed an "ultimate upgrade" code or have the "ultimate edition" of the game when the beast comes out you'll be able to download it for free on the ps store

considering you will get the beast for free, more than likely digitally

so you just pop open the ps store and you will have the beast

or you know, just contact techland, cause they know what is going on behind the scenes

Yes. But for all dlc and expansions you need to place the disc in your console.. and exactly that is the problem.

I will, didn't want to bother them directly and hoped for a conclusive answer from the community.

the beast is not a dlc

it is a standalone game

it is entirely seperate from dying light 2

you can play the beast without owning dying light 2

Yes but I get it for free with my edition of dying light 2, instead of a dlc.
Over a year later, when I already moved on to a new console (without disc drive )

And that's exactly my question/problem...
How I can get it for free and play it without proof (disc in console) that I owned the right edition.
Most, if not always, of the times you need to place the disc in your console to get a dlc/expansion or in this case the stand alone game.

But thanks for responding anyway. I'll contact tech land directly.

If it doesn't activate automatically, there will be a description of how to redeem it without a disc. Nothing strange about that.

you wont need to insert dl2 disc on your console to play the beast when it comes out

they won't send you a physical copy either
you'll most likely get a redeem code for the beast if it doesn't start downloading automatically on your console
