I want to buy DL2 on steam, but it's very expensive in my currency. Does the game often go half price, or are those big discounts really rare?

there's no way to predict when steam will have massive sales in general outside of seasonal sales or some holidays, and not all games even go on sale during those periods either. there just was one but i'm guessing it has ended, the next might be around christmas/black friday
