I can’t upgrade or even see my nightrunner tools in the craft master menus

I know co-op can cause issues but i was also the host of the game and ive been in single player for hours. can’t upgrade a single night runner tool

The nightrunner tools tab won’t even show up

Have you tried restarting the game, it's been known to fix these bugs
