I know many others have probably had this issue before, but when I start the game all I get is the logo, and then a full white screen for about half a minute before the game crashes.
it started when, during the first cutscene with Sophie, the game was so laggy that I tried changing the graphics settings for something a little more framerate-friendly (probably a dumb idea, looking back at it), and while saving the settings I clicked too quickly to realize I'd have to restart the game, and then I got my first white screen. at this point, I'm even willing to delete all the game data if that'd mean I get to play again.
I've tried everything I've seen people recommend and everything that worked for my others games in the past - restarting Steam, restarting the computer, reinstalling the game, deleting cache data, turning off read-only for the game, verifying game files through Steam, freeing up space, and probably a few others that I forgot about. clearly, none of that worked, or even changed anything.
what the hell do I do!!!!! give me even your dumbest ideas :((
