I have a Samsung Ultrawide monitor and I loaded up dying light 2 for the first time since getting my monitor only to realize that it was in full screen mode even though my monitor is technically split into 2 monitors via a second input. When I tried to change the display settings the game downsized and now says that its inactive on the bottom portion of my screen. I have no way of changing it back since I cant see what im doing on the screen and I cant seem to find any help anywhere on how to fix it.

Some drivers like AMD adrenalin have post processing that runs most of the visual bulk. split that with computing between the cpu its going to say inactive. so if I understand correctly is that if you change resolution the screen "cuts" it incorrectly and doesnt fit the screen resolution?

Disable Virtual Super resolution if you can in AMD adrenalin or in Nvidea control panel. Then in game enable fullscreen. Make sure there is no upscaling in video settings, then Set desired resolution. make sure Monitor/screen as well as the game and Windows' resolutions and max frame rates are all set to the same. So monitor, windows settings, and dying Light all have to be set to 1920x1080 [16*9] 75Mhz, as an example

Then the game and everything else should attempt to re-adjust. Press Win+Ctrl+Shift+B to restart graphics drivers. (assuming you havent done it before dont get a heart attack if the screen goes black and fans shut off. it will all turn back on automatically in a second)

Then that should do it for the game and everything else that might cause or have caused problems everywhere else
