No
?
Will I lose my current progress?
no
So if I install it on HDD I can continue where I left off
yes u can
thank you
you should not go from an ssd to an hdd. ssd is way faster in terms of read/write speed!
HDD is not advised for gaming.
I can vouch for this
I normally get massive lag spikes when i start and i think thats due to dl2 being on a hdd
And now the question was not whether ssd or hdd is better, but whether he loses progress. and probably there is a reason why he will have the game on hdd.
yes it's true
So guys, what do you recommend?
So guys, what do you recommend?
why do you want to switch from SSD in the first place?
Because there is no space on the SSD and now I have to buy a new 1tb HDD because I don't have money to buy an SSD 😄
stay on an ssd
Dude there is no space and I have to upload new stuff? And since Dying Light 2 is 110 GB, I will free up space on the SSD and download games that need more speed. Dying Light 2 does not require speed, it just increases the startup time and has no other effect.
buy another SSD, HDD is good for storage of data. For games it is not good anymore.
So, what do you think about Sata SSD?
yes sata ssd is fine
Well you already got answer but I probably will explain why
The game's config has the save folder location stored, it's either in appdata steam location or by the id name of the folder, as long as the config has that location changed where it cannot find it, then you will lose progress, or even if that location gets moved or removed
basically you will lose progress if it won't read the files anywhere
quick thing
You know you can transfer game by steam feature right?
yeah
especially if you do it by steam
I'm playing Epic Games
oh
then epic should have that feature
especially if you do it by provider app, you won't lose progress
I am sure
ok man thank you👍
Probably cause he had space on his hdd
Im sure epic has that feature
Yeah I remember it as well
