Black screen when friend joins

When a friend joins my game suddenly the screen goes black and none of the keys respond. I can’t even bring up menu by hitting escape key.

Yeah co-op is bug, not to mention u get every few min notification about connection to servers has been lost , this issue is for long time already and doesnt look like it will be fix anytime soon, lets hope Im wrong, I really want to play with friend,s but getting disconnected every fews mins is not making me do this...
