I just downloaded dl2 and when i started playing the fps was 70-80 but after a 15 min the fps dropped to 9-20 fps

Have you checked all of your pc parts? Check task manager while you're playing it could be your pc is getting too hot

Same issue here. This is a problem that has come and gone since launch. If you google "DL2 fps drops over time" you'll see reddit threads from 2 years ago where people are getting fps drops after playing the game for a while. I've experienced this issue multiple times over the 2 years the game has been out. Incredibly frustrating to come back to the game after 6 months only to still be experiencing this issue...

even tho in the rest of it i get stable 60+ fps

Hmm totally different to mine, I guess the issue not really hardware specific then. I'm using an intel 13700k and Nvidia RTX 4090, with 32GB of DDR5 memory. Almost couldn't be more different than your specs lol

guess so, quitting to menu and reloading the game fixes it but its still kinda annoying nonetheless
