No dlss option (I have an rtx card) also the particles look really bad PLEASE HELP

I've been using dlss in dying light 2 for ages and today i realise that my game is a bit choppy so i go into settings and see that the Upscaler mode has been changed to FSR2, I cycle through the options and dlss is no where to be found. Another thing is that the particles (fire, fireflies etc) look really bad, like really really bad. I asked my friend and he said that no matter how low your graphics are your particles should never look that bad.

and XeSS is also missing

No, that was a year ago. maybe it's the same problem with the new nvidia driver that they had
