I did a new game plus from a previous new game plus. The new one hasn't saved in a different slot, it appears to have overwritten the original, maintaining the number of hours spent in the original new game plus. What have I done wrong and how do I reset it? Not sure a rollback will take me back to the original.

NG+ always overwrites the existing save that you select. Nothing new and works the same in all games.
