#Weird Stuttering

Hi!

I'm new and just started playing Dying Light 2. I'm liking it so far except one HUGE thing: I'm suffering with weird stuttering in random moments, even moment when there's no action and I'm just standing still.

The FPS drops to 10 or something and it goes back up, which is weird.

The recommended settings here is the high preset, both recommended by the game and also recommended by NVIDIA GeForce Experience, even though I'm not using the optimization from GeForce Experience.

This is an odd behaviour that I don't suffer while playing some other games like RDR2, Starfield, New World and so on.

Any clues about this?

Informations:

  • CPU: i7-11800H
  • GPU: RTX 3060 6GB
  • RAM: 16GB
  • Windows 11
  • Windows Game Mode is on
  • Game is running with the GPU
  • Game is installed in a NVMe M.2 Samsung EVO SSD
  • Drivers are up to date (updated as soon as I saw this problem for the first time)
  • PC / Steam
  • No MODs or edited game files, it's a fresh install since I just bought the game
  • Already verified files integrity
  • Game runs @ around 70 fps with the high preset, but also tried lowering to medium/low
  • I did try to enable all three DLSS options with these presets

It's random when it happens that I can't get the timing to record it.

alongside that - try disabling / enabling VSync, and setting your settings to the lowest with DLSS, try seeing if the issue is resolved

#

if not, contact Techland support
