Title sums it up. I'm forced to use the military machete because the health of enemies is inflated so much. Using a 713 dmg weapon, I need to hit volatiles roughly 10 times on normal difficulty. The new explosive throwing knives barely scratch virals, let alone harder infected.
All I want is to kinda revert the ng+, or atleast have an option to change the difficulty more in depth. Kinda like Borderlands OP levels, where each ng+ is a new level.
Is there a way for me to get rid of the horribly inflated health, or do I have to start a new save and miserably work my way up to the state my main character is in to even have fun playing the game?

Stop playing ng+ so many times?
And I don’t think there is a way to stop the inflating health but turning the difficulty down to easy
Yeah that wasn't something I thought about back then, the last time I started a ng+ was gut feeling update. But there's no way to go back, which is what I want to do. Switching to easy doesn't change their health much. Just amount and damage
They have finally patched the military machete. So it cannot be repaired.
Me to
I’ve done story like 8 times
The carnage hall one
?
ng+ does not stack. ng+500 is the same as ng+1
Really? I remember zombies being easier to kill in ng+1 even though my weapons dealt way less damage.
the games balance as a whole has changed. but ng+'s do not stack and get harder and harder no.
Honestly, all I want to do is be able to kill volatiles and other special infected without hitting them 11 times with weapons that are considered op.
I dont know if they have removed it yet. but they did make a change at some point where volatiles cant be killed without a minimum of like 3-4 hits
even if you hypothetically had a 99999dmg weapon
I also feel like legend levels didn't do much for me too, even with max in every stat I feel weak against enemies I shouldn't have trouble with
on hard with gear and weapons and legend max I 1 tap biters and sometimes virals
in ng+
They changed it with community update 3, "you can now overpower volatiles with something something weapons"
