When i try to join people by any means my game loads for about 5 seconds then freezes and the just crashes any tips?

I uninstalled the game and installed it and it worked

I play with 2 other friends, if I follow my friend who has the game on epic games I can't have to follow a friend who has the game on the same platform as me on steam so I can enter my friend's save of epic games
