Whenever I join a Co-op game, my game instantly crashes (pc). My devices usually runs this game perfectly and almost never crashes but it does very often now.

Tested deleting data files and validating files on steam
Tested toggling new graphics options on/off
Tested hide backpack feature on/off
Tested running steam as administrator
Tested creating a new save file and trying multiplayer once getting to the Bazar
Tested uninstalling and re-installing game
Tested selecting Continue>With Event main menu selection
Tested selecting Continue>Without Event main menu selection
Tested with text chat on & off
Tested starting game with Online option set to Singleplayer then turning it to public
Tested with online option set to Private
Tested using quick join
Tested using find game option
Tested Using "Sign in to Epic Games" in Online menu
Tested using Directx12
Tested using Directx11

Yeah Im gettin crashes too, I just wanna play with my buddies but it crashes like not even 5 minutes in to the session

On xbox, its a similar issue, except its when u join a solo game

this will keep happening to only certain players. like when you try to join certain people, if they crash you then they will always keep crashing you until this is fixed. but not every person will cause this for you

Think the devs have the weekend off, they worked hard to make the update so hopefully a hotfix will be released some point in the week 🙏
If we all submit a support ticket it will hopefully grab their attention quicker

I was having the same problem last night. I eventually was able to get into a game with my friend, but we both had to turn off the event and she joined my game. I wasn't able to join hers for whatever reason.

The support team have had all the crash logs sent over to them today so hopefully in the next 2 working days we will get a reply.
If they can't offer a fix they will have to release a hotfix update

yea actually it might be associated with ANY glitch that u have done in your save file. if u have a glitched weapon or maybe u exploited something else, i have more disconnect problems w ppl that fit this description

it would surprise me if that was the case, I deleted all saves, uninstalled, reinstalled, new game, still crashed when trying to join others

for playing with friends steam invites seem to work
joining on them however without invite does not
using in game menu does not work either so I can't respond to SOS calls which is how I keep the game going for myself

i recommend going thru online menu and spamming A to join. first two times you will crash, TRUST the process and keep restarting and keep spamming it despite any in game errors as well. If u reach 5 crashes in a row or so then u have a much more in depth issue that bugs your coop. Also yes Steam invites bypass a lot of these coop crashes, also having your epic disconnected from a steam version of the game
i have ppl that regularly crash trying to join me, but they ALWWAYS end up getting thru on 3-5th time
also if you are approaching constant crashes and seems like no way out, flip and try to have them join you instead of you joining them this will also work sometimes
Test having the event off vs On, test with DirectX11 instead of 12 since DX12 in game is BROKEN
i have a lot more possible solutions that will not work for everyone but will fix others, its hard to pinpoint these bugs origins and solutions since the engine is absolutely fucked
