[A Friend in Need...] Question about survivor encounters in the current state of the game

Quick question - I'm trying to do the A Friend In Need achievement. Were the survivor encounters where you give a bandage or immunity booster to a random npc on the street removed? I haven't been able to find a single one since last I played (around a year ago), and I've done an entire main story playthrough in ng+ to get the underwater area drained, so it's not like I haven't been running around 😄

Cheers for the idea, but I just tried that - still only got the newer events. I get loads of hag hunting grounds, bandit chases and kill 4 renegades for a chest, but the only survivor events I get are the one were 4-5 renegades hold a survivor captive, the one where a survivor is wrestling a zombie and the one where a survivor is in a cage in a lamppost, but they are few and far between

im pretty sure someone has made a video of easy way of getting this achievment

Most of those videos are a year old and the methods they use are either patched or not that good anymore because of the newer events.
I tried going out at night in a new game - there I'm getting exclusively bolter events, but jesus it's hard to move around at low level cause of all the new volatile spawns on rooftops etc.
