#PC fully shut off after running dying light 2

I bought DL2 on pc yesterday and already put 7 hours into it, I tried to hop on this morning, and the first time I tried to run it, I got in game moved around and my pc just died with no warning at all. After booting back up I scanned for corrupted windows files, malware, verified files and launched again, and this time just the application crashed and not my pc. What is happening and how can I fix it?

What are the pc specs?

It’s weird because last night I played for about 6-7 hours no problem

Hop on this morning and randomly dealing with this

In event viewer it was both Event ID 1001 first time and 1000 the second

Hmm... Was about to say that it might be overheating but if you were able to play for 6-7 hours before then its probably not... Though perhaps it would still be good to check for that or more with msi afterburner. You could also do a fresh driver install...

New windows update and newest nvidia driver don’t work well together

Yeah, I’d say never install newest updates until you randomly come across a Reddit comment that gives you the green light with someone who experienced it before.

since my pc is custom built and i have to buy TPM 2.0

Too much of a hassle for me... But maybe one day if windows 10 goes down hill ill buy windows 11 key and install it

Ok so I think I found the issue after 2 days of troubleshooting, I’ve been on Dying Light 2 for about 15 minutes now with no crash yet so I don’t want to jinx it, but for some reason my pc was not liking my memory speed being at 3200 (even though it’s been at that for over 6 months) and turning it down to 2133 seemed to fix it.
