Ive been wondering that the skip button used to appear early in the intro scene but now its toward the end and i dont understand why it happened and it takes too long to sit through it

you can enable the skip intro movie option. don't know where it is located in ps4. On pc, it's under option.

my guess is that the ps4 HDD takes more time to load up the game compared to SSD drives on ps5 and pc, hence why you cant skip straight away

I played it on PS4 on first release. I can confirm it sucked skipping that cutscene. But the infuriating part was, the more updates they made to the game to fix the bugs. The longer it took before the skip prompt appeared. I imagine your situation is the same for every PS4 user.
