Bro, why are there so many goddamn volatiles, there are literally 4 to 5 of them just chilling right outside every safe zone! Night quests are almost completely undoable. Look I'm used to running away from volatiles in dying light 1 but in 2, bro I can't even run 1 min outside the safe zone before getting chase 2 or 3 . how am I supposed to deal with that? Im lv 2 playing on normal difficulty but shts feel like I am an npc in doom.

I’m glad they made the game harder it is funner now
the story set up is that its far into the apocalypse and the zombies own the world, so they're owning the world deal with it just like everyone else in the story

The nights in this game are meant to be a contrasting challenge to the daytime gameplay. But here's a few tips to help you avoid Volatiles and be able to run away from them:
- Volatiles do not see your flashlight, so you can use it at night without threat of them seeing you.
- Distractions like Decoys, Gulden Coins, and explosives help lure Volatiles away.
- If you have any, UV Bars are throwables that provide a temporary safe spot as they blast UV in a small area. Use this to get yourself out of a pickle or if you want to deter Volatiles.
- Volatiles have faster running speed than you. If you want to run away from them effectively, duck and weave in and out of buildings, climb up and down structures, and generally do anything but run in a straight line, as their AI will struggle to keep up with your pace. They quite literally won't be able to guess your next move lol.
- There are patches of bushes / long grass that hide you from sight, including from Volatiles.
- If you don't have it turned off, there's a HUD option that allows you to see a diamond icon above a Volatile, and you're also able to see them using Survivor Sense through walls. Use this knowledge to plan out your route accordingly.
- There is no penalty to dying, and if you're struggling you can always just play during daytime as no quest forces you to play at night (apart from like 2 side quests). You also have a prompt to respawn at Dawn if you die at night.
You can escape from Volatiles even at level 1 on Hard difficulty, once you know what to do it's fairly straightforward @acoustic matrix
