Hey, as of right now I don't believe there is a work around for this in single player, I tried coming to this spot at different times, quit the game and came back and still nothing, I only recently started my 2nd playthrough and it didn't glitch out, the only way I think you can finish this would be to join someone else who has not done it yet.
