It is literally unplayable because I feel like a Batman when I play this game 💀

And seriously how to fix this, when I played DL2 one year ago on launch it was normal but now prologue is soooo dark and changing gamma doesn't do much o.o

I'm in the prologue and there is daytime but holy shit shadows are darker than the soul of my EX

Try raising the gamma in settings, the same thing happened to me

Gamma doesn't fix it sadly

Like it does look a little bit brighter but it's still Batman simulator in places without sunlight :(

literally it is unplayable without using flashlight everywhere at DAY because of some fucked up shadows in the game

I manually change two settings in the video.scr file.
VoxelGiQuality(0)
GammaFloat(1.15)

Note: every time you enter the Grafik Settings, those two entries will get overwritten.
a) set video.scr to write protect / read only
b) don't enter the ingame Grafik Settings.
