Hey
I am currently playing this gem of a game (dying light 2 stay human) on steam and I have selected in my settings > online tab "single player" since I know I was gonna modd it a bit and even had 1 cheat enabled to make it more fun (for myself, since my gaming time is limited this helps a lot as well) And today by mistake when I died in game I "called for help" without realizing and someone joined my game, suddenly turning my single player game into co-op while I had my mods and cheat enabled. (after 1 minute I quit and went back to single player)
My question is > Am I in trouble with steam's VAC and should I expect a ban for this?
Thank you 🙏

i dont think VAC is implemented into DL 2 yet. it may become a thing if they add a mode like be the zombie or something more competition oriented.
or other anti-cheat.
nor do i think the mp session would have worked as both people need to have the same mods installed to be able to join on each other from what i am seeing (dont have any experience with modding dl2 specifically, so i cant say from first hand experience.)
but its more likely then not to become a thing in the future... as dl 1 didnt have it and then one day it became VAC enabled. so right now i think you may be safe, but once it becomes VAC enabled THEN making this mistake again may result in trouble.
Indeed, I did search to see if it was VAC enabled and while on its store page I don't see VAC there, if I searched by vac enabled games it does have the dying light series and that's why I asked, I normally don't cheat if I have time to play a title but I do have many single player titles to play and limited time, I want to enjoy the story and gameplay without any grind. Was worried for my acc cleansheet over a silly mistake.
You dont have to make excuses, as long as you arent ruining other peoples games, then do whatever is fun for you.
Nor do i think that the devs will care either. But who knows.
Guess Il leave this open a bit more and Il close the thread
