#Extreme loss of fps after 30 minutes

I bought dying light 2 on launch and could not play it due to technical issues with my rig. Its been about a year and I booted it up to see if it would work and it still has the same issue it had a year ago.

My issue is this. I am playing the game for 30 minutes with no issue. Smooth 60 fps on High settings with no problem. After around 30 minutes, the game tanks to like 20 fps, until I restart the game or change in game settings to force a restart. Its really annoying, and this does not happen on any other games I play (cyberpunk, hitman, RE4 remake, dead island 2, etc.)

Ive all but given up. I have deleted temp files, verified game cache, uninstalled and reinstalled the game on 2 different drives, updated my pc, drivers, turned off all overlays, and have also tried lowering graphic settings to no avail. At the lowest setting possible, after 30 minutes my fps still drops.

Im on an alienware aurora R12, RTX3080, with 32 gb of ram. I have an I9 processor.

I have tried also turning off raytracing and it did nothing either.

Also, another issue is this game does not work well with alienware FX. For anyone who starts the game and has a similar rig as me, it will throw warning lights and flash the keyboard and mouse. Just wanted to throw this out there too for anyone like me.

hilariously, I started the game since making this post (28M ago) . In that time, while IDLE in game, My fps dropped to 45. From being in the pause menu. 60 fps to 45 fps

SO no playing around or jumping around. Just sitting in the pause menu, the fps dropped.

Unplugged my controller too and that had nothing to do with it

gonna start up a different game and see if the same fps drop occurs

update: Played dead space (newest one) with raytracing and everything maxed and dropped to 58 fps once. No stuttering. Played it for two hours

this has been an issue since there 1-2 updates after launch

Your pc has problems, how come a few ppl have this issue? They have a bloated os and their pc is filled with shit.

Yes, hundreds of ppl are just downloading and installing random stuff and have like 5 antiviruses on. Proper bios settings and a clean os wont have problems with games.
