Picking up items says empty and things are greyed out in my inventory | Dying Light | Page 1

Played dl2 before the ''overhaul'' update and after installing it again all my items were either greyed out or gone, I start a new save and I cannot complete the first mission with spike as items show up as empty when picked up and survivors sense is not scanning items that need to be picked up,
Tried uninstalling, updating drivers, restarting game, deleting backup, scanning game files and i cant find any posts of this issue
