I did this didn't work either used a few of them but same results I was able to get to the main menu but that's as far as I've been able to get to
All my other games work fine, and just a side note before this patch the game didn't have this issue and ran fine

Heya! I just made a ticket, I did it just shows keyboard controls and doesn't respond to anything other then k/m even after connecting those and trying to get the game the swap to controller that way didn't do much either

@pseudo void I was able to just now update and play a few min on a Steam Deck with all of the controlls working properly. Im still bumping this up, but maybe try to re-install or swap your settings?

Im using Stable Channel with 3.4.4 OS Version, Default Resolution, no Launch options with Dying Light 2 - v2.0 -- Joey D controller layout

i did use the Joey D controller layout, that got me to the main menu but not much further then that. ( since the game does not move to controller layout and stick to the PC one

Could you try to connect a controller and see if that helps after disconnecting it ?
and also after connecting could you check what device has controller priority on the deck?

the biggest issue, is that if refuses to move to Controller, and it just sticks to keyboard controls, someone suggest plugging in a k/m and then disconnect those to force the controller to kick in that also didn't work

I often find Steam Deck to just 'breake' Controller priority and the device responds but the game does not in multiple games

hey so Controller order is set correctly. i connected a Xbox controller, but this also isn't working. it seems the game is refusing to move to controller layout even with me connecting a xbox controller
to add some info for you:
After booting the game and you get that intro, it shows a Controller button prompt to skip it ( pressing this doesn't work )
After that it prompts you to go to main menu by pressing ( Enter ) This is as far as i can go.
Using Joey D's controller layout i can get into the main menu because some of the buttons are set to ( Enter ) (and E )
Connecting a k/m i can get into settings and change the game to Gamepad this also doesn't seem to work and it just ignores the input
