My game is not verifying files on Steam

I can't open the game in steam, it seems to open, black screen comes up, but the game closes again, I say verify file, but it doesn't verify any files even though it says the file has been verified

Have you tried re-installing the game? What if you try launching the game directly from the executable in the Dying Light 2 folder? Are there any events recorded on Event Viewer, that may shed some light on what's going on?

Or in the crash logs in the Dying Light 2 folder

Could try other simply/quick things like using DDU (display driver uninstaller) to uninstall your GPU driver, then install the latest driver available.

Check if your registry is broken
launch /sfc scannow in cmd console for broken windows files
uncheck "read only" for the entire game folder

deinstall onedrive if you got it

reinstall the game when steam is launched as Administrator

Sfc scannow wont do anything good. It will just mess with files.

Yep, it is. Things like that and programs like ccleaner will mess up registry more. Doing more harm than good.
