never had to post specs before so idk what else i need to post here please tell me what else is needed and how to go about copying it and pasting it here

so as the title says the game as of today has just decided that it wants to run at a low fps 1-14fps to be specific and idk why yesterday and weeks before i could play minimum 30mins before having to reset the game due to the memory getting to high and dropping the fps ( i just put up with it cause never got or found an answer) i have set the visuals to extreme low, low, medium, high and ray tracing<(yes i know raytracing bad it was more a test) and it stills acting up and like i said a the start today it doesnt matter it just starts out at 14fps and jumps between 14 and 1 fps...any help is appreciated again idk what all is needed

What cpu cooler do you have? Btw, if memory builds up just use ISLC, it will clean it up frequently.

It is a good program, especially of something is leaking memory or just fills up quickly.

But 64gb ram should be plenty. I'd search elsewhere for your problem. Maybe overheating cpu, that cooler is not good.

Could be a bloated windows, a miner virus etc...

Monitor your pc with RTSS and msi afterburner.

wouldn't it mess with other games though? DL2 is the only one i cant get to go smoothly

even done deep scans with Bitdefender avast and used CCcleanr to clean lol (im not the best with pcs i know enough to not kill it lol)

Could be, but in my experience it can wary. For example when i overclocked ram, all games would run for hours without crash, except one. Other times gpu oc would crash another game.

Ccleaner is messing up registry files, not advised to use it. Nor an antivirus. Defender is good enough. Ocasionally i use malwarebytes, but that is it. No need for any other program.

Can be driver related, or windows got an update and messed up dl2.

If you are not tech savvy, you should tweak your pc once, disable antivirus, windows and any other updates. Only update nvidia driver if a game comes out or it is being hotfixed.

Search for "FR33THY" on youtube, he has a series about tweaking that is not placebo, only the useful stuff. It takes time to watch and learn, but it is worth it. You tweak your pc and wont have problems like this. Everything will be buttery smooth.

i did update nvidia a couple days ago but ill try disabling antivirus and check out Fr33thy

"Fast tracked" is the most up to date one, needs a complete windows reinstall. It is the fastest method, has everything in it. "Windows 10 FR33THY optimization pack" is there too, if you want to tweak, but not reinstall windows. Explains everything in that video. Hope this helps you out.
