How do we complete the mission to destroy Harper's volatile hives?

At night, they are a random encounter, in gre facilities/hospitals

No, night time only and it's a blue random encounter, icon is similar to volatile tyrant

Yup, look for the blue Tyrant Volatile symbol on your compass. Only spawns at night, can be GRE facilities and Dark Hollow locations. Keep in mind, the spawns are RNG, sometimes you'll get Volatile Tyrant on a rooftop and sometimes it will be a hive in a GRE or Dark Hollow.

I believe best thing to do is just travel around the map near Dark Hollow and GRE locations and if a Tyrant on a rooftop spawns, don't engage it, just travel 80m or 100m away from it so it despawns and then continue to travel around until a hive spawns.
