Game crashes after update 1.9

Does anyone have the same and solved the problem?

The game crashes while loading the main menu.. can't play it

I can't upload video here so I won't show

I checked the integrity of the files on steam and did a clean boot but nothing worked

If you can enter menu go to settings and use d3d11

D3d12 can be broken for some people not everyone

If it means anything, game crashes on PS5 as well

Maybe i can try to delete in game files something about running d3d12

go to your documents dying light 2 and look for video.scr then delete it

it's not d3d12 but xess for me

as soon as i enable xess i crash

and have to delete the video settings again

If you use d3d12 just disable it i was having the same issue but my game wasn't crashing in menu i think the only way to fix it is to delete the game and somehow delete the steam cloud so you settings reset

By the way i don't know if steam cloud reset will change your settings

First thing go to game files before you delete and backup all your save files

delete the video.scr in documents/dying light 2/out/settings and avoid reinstalling the game, i did reinstall it and it was still happening, don't know if it's with the d3d12 or xess the problem, for me it's xess purely, but i'm getting a lot of popping in the textures

If you got nividia don't use d3d12

It can crash your game

brudda directx 12 was made for Nvidia

I deleted data2.pak from SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Dying Light 2\ph\source and it let me load the game

but directx 12 could be used only for RTX players

and who got a decent GPU
