Shader compilation stutters absolutely piss me off, and there's no excuse for games in 2023 to still have these issues.

I have an SSD now, so before anyone says anything, no it's not that I'm running it on an HDD.

I have linux (proton) and a 10 year old computer, so I know what you mean. But... I disabled background processing of Vulkan shaders and my game was 60fps all game. For my computer that is good. If I turn it back on, the fps is all over the place, as low as 25.

The thing is that I like to use DX12, if I use DX11 there are no stutters, but DX12 runs better so I either lose performance for the entirety of my game session, or lose performance for the first 5-10 minutes.
