game is stuttering like crazy

does anyone know how i can fix like stuttering in dl2, after like 5 mins of playing every time i play it will stutter a lot and then stops and it never used to do that, ive tried putting all my graphics to very low quality but it still happens, yet i used to have it on high quality and it was perfectly fine plz help if u can

Maybe your CPU or GPU overheating, check the temps of your hardware while playing DL2

no, im using an ssd, it was on hdd but i switched and its still doing it
