Legendary renegade encounter comes with chest already open

After the latest patch the nighttime zombie encounter bug with no rewards is solved.
However, daytime legendary renegade encounters sometimes come with a chest that is already open when I defeat the renegades.
This happened twice in roughly 5-6 encounters in a day's game. I play alone, no coop, this happens in NG+.
The location was Old Villedor, haven't tried in the other part of the map.
