Recently picked up dl2. Occasionally, for seemingly no reason, Aiden dies. One time I even got instantly killed by an inexplicable electric shock in a dark zone. Just random instakill damage from nowhere. What's going on

you must have hit one of those electric boxes, they kill you very, very fast

I think other things can also destroy them, like a zombie being flung into them or something. And i agree with you that they are stupidly OP with how they kill you in mear microseconds. There are also lanterns that do the exact same thing but with fire.
