Sure you could get some free stuff when others get punished for one guy's failure, but not being able to pin a single person down and having to focus on multiple people all trying to kill you simultaneously is significantly harder than having just one target
You know you'll probably die for making a mistake in 1v1, but ask yourself... is it better to die for your mistake or for no mistake at all?
In the current state of the game, humans in co-op can literally punish you for successfully doing something to one of them. That's as far from fair as it gets. You can literally render specific traits of the hunter completely ineffective in co-op.
And oh, no, no, how wrong is it to say that you die faster the less players there are.
It's actually the other way around.
One guy can only do so much to you
But when you have two, both doing their combo on you already does more damage despite the reduction, than you'd get in 1v1.
Adding more humans has similar results when comparing to the previous amount.

@halcyon ice usually health being longer than uv bar is because of a bug, but using some cheats does indeed make it happen as well, but I only remember 3 cases in total. On console it's most likely just a bug with the legend levels. If you ever see an UV bar that's longer than the health bar though, 100% cheats.
