3 mutations,each gives you access to a new spit / skill and new Hunter Skin.
In order of mutation its: sense suppressor,toxic spit and UV heal.

@clever forge Mutating isnt bad. UV Heal is a must if you plan on becoming good hunter. Youll get shit on by good players if you dont have it. Thats why I dislike playing on low mutation saves. :v

Basically as survivor your objective is to destroy 5 nests before losing 10 lives. As hunter you must get 10 kills in whole match, doesn't matter who you kill as long as you get 10 kills before survivors destroy 5 nests, you win.

you're wrong firearms are useful you can easily dmg the hunter if you even deal 30 dmg you can finish him with a 2 hander
anyway best loadouts are things like 1 hand weapon a 2 handed weapon and 2 crossbow or 1 crossbow and 1 last wish
it takes around 1 mag of an assualt rifle 17-19 shots i need to check the damage mapping

Useful, situational. That's exactly what I said by are very useful, 'very' being keyword. There is really no best loadout, it's subjective, more of a preference. I prefer one handed, two handed, bow and knife. I only used firearms during invasions when I was newbie. A crossbow is far better than firearm imo, but yes firearm can be useful to finish off low health hunter.

You perhaps got hit by sense suppressor. If you use survivor sense too frequently you'll hinder its effectiveness, when you press Q you launch something like aura that traverses and detects whatever it passes through, if hunter is far there should be slight delay so press Q every 2-3 seconds maybe, don't overuse it.

Don't heavily rely on judging player's Be the Zombie skill by their Legend rank, their Legend rank has barely anything to do with it, most of the time at least. Also, extremely high % of Legend rank 250 players didn't make to 250 legit.

Survivor ranks: Prey, Casualty, Endangered, Underdog, Runner, Contender, Challenger, Fighter, Dominant, Ruthless, Indomitable and Ultimate Survivor.
Hunter ranks: Walker, Runner, Biter, Bolter, Stalker, Beast, Mauler, Juggernaut, Widow Maker, Carnivore, Hunter and Apex Predator.
But it's really dumb because you can't see your survivor rank except for after each game of pvp. The hunter rank you can see by just going into your btz saves.
BtZ is usually the thing that keeps people playing the game for so long. I recommend it, but it's difficult and requires a lot of time and effort to get good at.

@lilac kelp Your character with respective inventory and skill trees is all the same in BtZ. The hunter has a whole new skill tree for himself with abilities and such things. So the new things are those ranks for the survivor. They don't really mean anything, it's just a representation of your skill level. But being Underdog or higher is good because you can get gold weapons after each game of pvp.

It's a pvp mode. You can play as a hunter which is like a super infected that has a lot of interesting abilities and a personal skill tree against 1-4 survivors.
The survivors need to kill 5 nests around the map and the hunter needs to get 10 kills on survivors. That's how the respective side wins.
Of course there's a lot more to it but that's a very simplified version of how it works.

Yes, you do get xp for finishing a game. I don't know exactly how much it is, I'm sure someone else here can fill me in on that, but it's a fair amount.
You also have a very high chance to get gold tier weapons if you are ranked Underdog or higher. Underdog is the 4th lowest rank out of 12 ranks. I don't really know how high the chance is but it's like a gold weapon every second or third game or something like that.
You also occasionally get Hunter Glands which is the main ingredient to make night hunter boosters which is by far the most useful booster.

The rewards are xp, legend points, free crafting materials, free weapons of various rarities, ammo, clicker upgrades or kings which are the best in the game, you get night hunter booster blueprint after your first game I believe, and you get the right to boast if someone tries to talk shit to you after you win lol
You also dont lose anything aside from equipment you used in the match, flare, medkits, etc. but youre gifted those everytime you die.

HP is always the same, but yeah less damage. But 2H is still OP. You can still do combos and stuff. Sure take a bit to get some combos down but doable on basically any hunter that attacks and not just wait back the whole match for spits.

@neat torrent in 1v4 hunter gets so much spits, i suggest you get your hunter to mutation 3 so you can have uv heal and toxic spit which are so important skills and they're very helpful in 1v4s, if you get dropkicked you can simply use toxic spit right under you and use uv heal to regain the lost Hp and escape, and of course survivors most likely won't get close to you
@neat torrent sense spit is useless in 1v4s and in general btw, and you should also think about learning gp spit and tendril claw, one of the most Op exploits as hunter, if you learn to hit every gp spit then the whole team is pretty much fucked up

Its really simple, you can see it in my compilations when I play hunter. All it does is maintain your momentum through animations which lets you tackle during the vault until the animation is over and the game realizes that youre in the air. Its easy, just takes practice
