@barren axle Without seeing any records of that situation, I'd say it's possible if theres small or zero distance between players and hunter doesn't react fast enough. Tackle slice™ doesn't take much - or any - longer than normal slice when its executed right. If you get pinned down as hunter you may want to GP instantly after recovering from animation to prevent any upcoming combos 🙏🏻

Then something is really wrong in they way you charge your GP. Correctly done human won't have time to hit 3 melee attacks before you release your ground pound. At max some tackle-bolt-slice combo could be possible in certain less common situations. Video would help to see whats going on

Another one I like is a script for rebinding crouch to your heavy keybind
I have my heavy bind set to G and Crouch to C. Ground pound with the heavy is bound with C so if I wanted to gp id have to press MMB for my crossbow and then G and C to ground pound since the only time i really GP is during that combo. Its easier to just make a script that can set C to G so you can just tap G to switch to heavy and then hold G to ground pound.

NH booster is good for everything. Increased elemental chances, faster movement speed for rotating to nests and saving your team. Reduces damage from the Hunters claw, fall damage, and viral damage. Theyre good to use but not to be equipped the whole game. Its best to drink one then swap to a different equipment such as shield or firecrackers until you die or 4 minutes has passed.
Apex Predator is the highest rank but anything above carnivore is decent. Below that I would say theyre relatively noobish. @grave star
Also hard mode is better for BTZ if youre playing 100 hp. Virals do less damage in hard mode.

Animation locks from tackles, little you can do about that. What you can do is redirect attention from horde, who would normally close in and get to you during tackle animation lock. That'll save your life unless hunter tackles you right into horde. That's why I prefer bow, frees up space for firecrackers and I don't use crossbow anyways.

First I recommend backing up your entire 239140 folder, just in case you mess up something or something bugs, etc, you'll always have clean fresh backup of your saves.
It depends on if you already have hunter save or not and what's in that file, as well as name of BtZ save file you want to drop in. If there is no BtZ file at all in remote/out/save, then just drop in.
If by chance you don't see hunter save in game afterwards, simply start new hunter save, quit, exit to desktop and new BtZ file will appear in remote/out/save, supposedly named save_btz_0, now delete this new one and drop in save file you want.
If there is already save_btz_0 then you can rename your btz file into save_btz_1 and drop in. However Dying Light has bug where other saves won't appear if you never made it from in game, in this case start game, create second hunter save, quit, exit to desktop, replace that file of newly made BtZ save into one you want to drop.

Anyone know how to counter the nighthunter after they disable flare, UV light, and survivor sense? I went up against what I'm assuming is a max level night Hunter and they just kept disabling all of my counters and tackling me into spikes. Very much sucked because it seemed my UV light barely drained their energy as well

If they disable your UV, your option is to quickly kill hunter which is unlikely if hunter is at distance and has enough energy to soon pounce you or drop flare.
If they destroy your flare then drop another, if that's destroyed then you are really out of options unless you manage to kill hunter or you manage to stall hunter enough to have your UV lights come back. In this case if hunter recovers energy faster than you, and you are neither able to kill hunter or have teammate protect you, you'll be high likely killed.

There are multiple ways to kill hunter and it's all situational. One of the fastest ways is to hit hunter with two handed thrown weapon, that's unlikely to accomplish. Other way is to DFA hunter which is done similar how you drop attack zombies, just higher distance.
Other way is drop kicking hunter into spikes, also situational. In combat, a tackle and two handed basic attack will finish off hunter, assuming it's 1vs1. A tackle, and two hits from one handed weapon will finish off hunter, again assuming it's 1vs1.
Doing tackle + one handed attack can work after pounce or tackle if hunter is blocked by obstacle, or straight two handed attack after pounce or tackle.

Going back to hunter destroying flares. When you drop flare, you must keep enough distance that hunter is unable to reach you along with flare if they ground pound, if they hit both, this is very bad for you.
Instead you should get away from flare while keeping hunter exposed to flare lights. If hunter ground pounds flare, but not you, hunter will take far longer to recover from ground pound since failed ground pound heavily panalizes hunter with few second longer recovery, during this time you are able to finish off hunter if you are fast enough. A two handed weapon melee throw, or grappling towards hunter and tackle + two handed attack, other combos etc, will finish off hunter.
They can't counter tackles, they can try to claw you though or jump away assuming they are not stuck in animation or are not still recovering from pounce / tackle.

Another tip when it comes to flares. Try to stay on the opposing side of the night hunter. Itll buy you extra time. And better protect you from ground pound and pounce.
