People can still cheat any way in VAC secured games, so don't expect it to protect you, they also get away without VAC ban 99% the time, but there will be less encounters with cheaters with secured since they're afraid of it, though also lesser chances of being invaded or meeting players since more play without VAC.

Not everyone will limit themselves just because you are beginner. You start weak in invasions as either side and slowly climb up to get better, everyone plays differently and you can't force them to go easy on you, but is that bad thing? You get actual experience.
You just drop flare and make sure you don't end up in hunter's GP range afterwards.
Survivor sense is unnecessary, you hear hunter and can detect where they are if you rely on hearing.

Honestly, just practice. I'm self-taught in BTZ, and I'm decently pretty good. Just take mental notes as you play, and learn to play. Learn what works best, sort your inventory, find the best tactics that work for you. Once you get a grip on how it works, you'll get better in no time

That'll finish it off in 1vs1, if it's 2vs1 or more, repeat same thing except after two handed hit immediately cancel attack either using bow or grappling hook, switch into one handed and land another hit.

Yeah, but throwing your two-handed weapon to punish a missed GP isn't great. You can lose your weapon if you aren't careful, and you can miss. And if you miss, then the Hunter can punish you. Instead, tackle and then hit twice with a one-handed weapon, or once with a two-handed weapon.

Those Hunters are a bit difficult to deal with, but it shouldn't be too hard to deal with. Unless they're really good at it. All I can really say is this, which I'm not sure if it's even great. Instead of looking on screen for the Hunter as he's tendrils sprinting, try looking at your map. For me, looking at the map is better, rather than looking at the actual screen for quick Hunters.

You can most of the time anticipate where hunter will move towards, for example some hunters tendril sprint past you to quickly tackle from your back, in this case instead of following them you can quickly turn back while watching them, this works for me.

One thing you should note, when players mutate they will always use their new skills. Always. Mutation one, Survivor Sense Suppression, which is easy to counter. Mutation two, Toxic spit. Lucky you, they aren't using the Horde anymore, and it shouldn't be too hard to get out of the Toxic. Just don't corner yourself. And Mutation three, UV heal. They will always UV heal right in front of you, which you can punish since they can't do anything. However, if you do this, be quick. They can pounce you with ease if you're not paying attention.

The toxic isn't hard to avoid, just stay out of corners. But if he's pushing you into it, then you can try grappling away, or drop kicking him to try to punish the aggression. If you try the dropkick, be careful where you try it, you don't want to lock yourself in the Toxic as you do it. The horde spit, you shouldn't worry too much. They don't spawn immediately unless you're near their spawn. If you have time, take your time and get to a high place. If you don't, then go as quick as possible and get to a roof. Hope he doesn't have high or max stamina if so, a pounce will be easy for him as you try to get to a high place. For the UV suppression, use the flares, Zaid Flares. Now in 1v1s, you can use two in a row before a long ass cooldown comes. So throw one, Insta-Flare to get it down quick. The Hunter will try to pressure you out of it. If he tries to GP, run out of the flare, let him take out the flare and stun himself. Then punish after he misses. I recommend throwing your second flare if you try this, just in case. Spits, try to go on the far side of the flare, but if he lands it in the middle, you can either, A throw a second flare, or B, stand out of the flare, but the opposite side of the Hunter, so if he tries to pounce, he'll have to go through the flare. If he tries to tackle just dodge the tackles. Now be aware, once the UV suppression comes off, you're UV light will come back. You'll know this because Crane will announce it, and the game will tell you by giving you a hotkey to switch back. But be careful, when you're light comes back, it'll have the same amount of durability as it had when he hit you with the spit. So be careful, as it can die right away.

Even if you know literally everything what to do and when, you'll still have very hard time winning against experienced hunters, because it comes to down to mechanical skills and muscle memory heavily when it comes to fast paced fights in invasions, high level matches focus on this mainly. Once you have all that, it's far easier to get learn new things and make use of it especially from advices or guides.

You have split second to shine UV and block it depending on distance hunter pouncing you, that's why you should be mainly focused on hunter and its location especially if they're coming for you.
And hours in SP barely matter when it comes to invasions, a person who had put just 100 hours in invasion while 150 in SP, will easily destroy someone who has 2000 hours in SP but only few or several in invasions.

Once you get out of the lower ranks you won't see as many cheaters. Most cheaters are low rank players who play casually to troll and be a nuisance. You see less and less of them as you rank up. Id recommend mostly joining known legit players or active BTZ players though. Never use quick join.

And even so, I beat the game on nightmare before that.

Thats why I play with 100 HP. When you get ground pounded you gain all that HP back in like 2 seconds. A hunter literally has to have a hard on for you in order to kill.

I explain health values more in Human Guide that I am working on. But the main perks of 100 hp is that you;
- Have critical healing. Heal up to 95% of your max hp automatically when avoiding damage for 4 seconds
- You survive a ground pound or claw right after getting revived by your team. (Claw and GP do 20% damage, so 20 HP if youre on 100) You get 25 HP when youre revived. So you live with 5 HP
- Medkit + critical healing stack for faster healing

If you put NHB in the first backpack slot. Then shield in 1st inventory slot. Literally just press f1, press space 2x, then f1 again and you quickswitched from shield to NHB

Also guns are very bad I don't recommend using them.

And all damage scales aside from AI damage. Those are value based. Meaning they do a certain amount between X and Y values and then difficulties add multipliers to those that make the damage output.
