-open (public)
-private group (your own, or those from friends etc)
-solo

and maybe 1 or 2 others

each player has their own private group tied to their character/account so to speak (you can reset your character, this erases anything earned on it though..)
so each player can manage their own group and the users in said group;
-set invite mode
-invite players
-accept/deny join requests
-kick players

this doesn't mean being able to kick someone from the same instance when already in-game feelsbananaman

there are certain unwritten rules... like using certain things in public during pvp can get you a bad rep as it's sorta cheating-ish etc

so yea, if you want to just solo stuff, only play with friends, it's easily doable to avoid being harassed peepohappy
