@normal crown first, a quick thing: b550 is a better chocie than x470 (Imma just assume that's what that was about, I dunno)
And it always heavily depends when you've got to decide between changing GPU or CPU/mobo. What can sometimes make that choice easier is looking at which GPU you want and then checking if your current mobo is even compatible with that, as I also had incidents where someone would get a RTX 2070s and build it in and they just have problems with it and then I look that up and find out that the motherboard isn't even compatible (In that case it was very sad, because a newer version of his motherboard would've been compatible)
And then if that do would work, it heavily depends on yoru own needs and what you already have. You can game with a R3600x and GTX1050ti, no problem, you can jsut upgrade the GPU down the line, especially if you'd otherwise have a combi of a RTX2080ti and AMD Athlon. Lol
