I can't speak for everyone, but for me personally other than its revolutionary impact on the industry, there is a lot to appreciate about Half-Life 2 even 15 years after its initial release. Till this day it's still a textbook example of level and game design. Never taking control away from you and always showing you, rather than telling you. An impressive feat rarely seen in modern games.

It's a game with rich environmental storytelling followed with its invisible tutorials, beautiful soundtrack, and believable characters leading to a very atmospheric and immersive experience complete with the cherry on top being the unique and dynamic gameplay.

@normal crown It's quite difficult for me to choose a favourite map. If I could pick a few I would go with Nuked, Nightmare, and Farmhouse.

As for perks. Certain perks will naturally fall quite flat like Support, Commando, and Field Medic as they are much bigger team perks than solo perks, but just choose whichever playstyle you are interested in and roll with that one till you max it out.

@vital vector Personally I focus on light attacks and throw in a heavy attack with Hemoclobber when time calls for it. Hemoclobber and Pulverizer are a little different though as they have special heavy attacks.

Pathfinder himself has said he recommends the heavy attack skill rather than the light attack skill. For me personally I have found a great success with light attacks, but you'll just have to try for yourself. Each to their own, aye?

Yes. The healing also kills nearby Zeds. I rarely use it to actually heal, more of a way to clear many Zeds at once.
