Best thing they could do if they went with a third game is probably L4D3. Expectations wouldn't be as high as HL3, Portal 3 just doesn't make sense. As much as I want to see it since I love the Portal franchise. I mean Portal 2 is one of my favourite games of all time. It just doesn't make sense with the ending. Not gonna spoil the ending of Portal 2 if you haven't played it but a third game doesn't really fit so well if you ask me.

I did read that Xbox started with it.Then, when people were paying it, Sony came with it too on PS. And later Nintendo adopted it for Switch too.

Like SCP Containment breach . There are modders for example, making mod which will make the game completely different if even released and then ones, who try expand the game alot.

In Call of Pripyat, I think that game is perfect alone. But Shadow of Chernobyl? Aside of main story, vanilla game is buggy shit.

Like quests sneding me to kill some mutants, who aren´t there. Or I kill them and still won´t have completed quest.

Or have quest killed dead and can´t finish it, etc.

But Shadow of chernobyl has best A-Life system, especially with mods which add there offline A-Life.

Also I did read somewhere that the game had so good AI that they had to dumb it down in order to be enjoyable.

Then they decided to change location into Ukraine´s zone. Yes. Tons of content cut.

They did readd something in Clear sky and Call of Pripyat.

And lots of mods tried to restore it.

And for Stalker I liked OGSE mod. Which did some controversial things, like made the game insanely harder on some stuff and changed a little story (for better in my opinion), but it adds tons of content and some nice things into the game. Like offline A-Life, Emissions and Psystorms, made better Psi-health, which actually matters there...

And then there is Call Of Chernobyl, which is mod for Call of Pripyat (Standalone) and it combines all maps of all Stalker games and turns it into big sandbox game. THere are also tons of addons for it.

And now they are making second game. I wonder how it ends. It runs on Unreal engine, so no A-Life system (which was part of X-Ray one), unless they will implement it into Unreal engine.
