If your backend servers run on the same machine as bungee, then you would tell bungee your lobby/world/game servers are at localhost with a different port for each one.
If they are on a different machine entirely (example ip 10.0.0.3), you would point your bungee proxy to 10.0.0.3 with the port of the paper/spigot/vanilla, etc backend servers.

Noticed that enchantment listing is handled a bit differently on paper compared to vanilla minecraft
minecraft list it by the order you add the enchantment while on paper it's listed alphabetically
anyone know if this is a paper or spigot thing? and how can I change it to vanilla minecraft behaviour?

you can't, though a plugin can probably step in and change appearance of enchantments by using some trickery
addendum: this seems like a antiproblem. as in, not a problem. something so miniscule that it shouldn't matter.
try a plugin, probably will need a custom one. if not, you'd need to edit the server software.

if it's really necessary for you and a plugin can't do it, fork paper and edit the patch, build your jar and run that
do note if you do so, you're maintaining your own paper and will need to update it as paper updates
though a plugin can probably do something ¯_(ツ)_/¯

yea if you patch paper you have more control over your own server and sometimes it's a lot easier to just patch the server than make a plugin

@shell vine the only thing I noticed is that the chunk you are entering to the left has more chunk updates going on then the one on the right
so, you are probably just on the edge for your client to accept chunk updates for that chunk or the next chunk over and by moving to the right you don't get packets for that.

Hey electroniccat, you may have a better idea about this than me. With PacketPlayOutGameStateChange, using the key 7 and 8 gives pretty cool sky colours. The wiki notes that 7 is the primary value for changing colours and 8 simply changes the brightness, which isn't always the case. I'd like to know if you think it's possible to change these values server-side, so we don't always have to send packets.

@gilded shell I use my own, but I got the idea from SkyChanger. I decided to make my own as SkyChanger only utilizes "7" for the packet and not 8.

not sure which wiki you got that information from, but the protocol states that key 7 is for fade value and key 8 is for fade time which is the amount of ticks for the sky to fade. Key 7 only takes a value of 1 or 0. 1 = dark and 0 = bright

frostalf, take another look at the "value" part, carefully this time.
High values cause it to lag, due to excessive rain splash particles. Using this packet in the nether results in no rain. Same for using it in a desert biome.
Surely there's a way to change it server-side.. when doDaylightCycle is true, the sky just goes across 1 second then goes back.. almost like the way you get teleported back when the server declines your move requests
Having custom skies that transition from a custom day/night cycle would be pretty sicc

Basically what we use for PacketPlayOutGameStateChange except instead of sending packets, let the server handle the packets by changing it server-side.
I'm not exactly sure where it'd be changed though, dayLight time and thunder duration?
