worn ember

yeah i think so

acoustic pilot
#

These rich European countries aren't going to let someone from the Czech Republic live in their country without a visa, either from a stable job or with a stable income source that can be proven.

#

I think Sweden has among the most lax requirements in that regard.

#

Just need to prove income, and don't need a work visa or anything to gain residency.

A certain income level, I mean

Residency requirements are the same pretty much whereever you go, outside of European agreements and such

#

It's probably the same in Czech

#

Czech probably deports illegal immigrants, too.

azure patio
#

from what I see no

#

:D

acoustic pilot
#

And yes, overstaying your visa makes you an illegal immigrant.

#

A quick Google shows that Czech does indeed deport or try to deport people

i mean, why wouldnt you

azure patio

they are trying

#

almost

worn ember

no benefit in keeping them

acoustic pilot
#

Czech is a EU member state right?

azure patio
#

yes, it is

acoustic pilot
#

OK, then quick revisal

#

You actually have the right to live and work in any EU member state

#

I didn't realize at first Czech was a member

worn ember
#

are they even on the EU board?

azure patio
#

lol

worn ember
#

never heard jack shit about that country

acoustic pilot
#

As long as they are EU citizens

#

They can live and work with minimal hassle compared to non EU citizens, in other EU member states

#

No work permit for EU citizens in other states

#

So it's not like he has to apply for a work visa or get a sponsorship

#

It's easier for him to just get up and go

#

As long as he has the money to start a new life

azure patio
#

I'm she but yeah,
that's good to hear

acoustic pilot
#

As a EU citizen he's entitled to just go to another EU member state and apply for a job.

worn ember

Man I wish I was a EU citizen ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

worn ember
#

No

acoustic pilot
#

Just fucking up and leave, move to a different place whenever I feel like it

#

Completely different cultures from one month to the next

azure patio
#

That's really nice benefit that's true

worn ember
#

seems like a lot of paper work if you ask me

void void
#

the paper work is the least of it @worn ember

#

you need to work at several jobs, with your first one sponsoring you, show financial stability for however many years and when you apply for citizenship you need all your previous employers to recommend the government to grant it

acoustic pilot
#

In the EU that's not the case if you're an EU citizen, though. Which is really nice

#

But yeah, non-EU citizens that wanna work in the EU gotta go through all that

void void
#

and if you slip up and get fired you may have to pay back all your paychecks to your employer since you are not obliged to keep it anymore

worn ember
#

im sure its not that simple @acoustic pilot

acoustic pilot
#

It actually appears to be

#

EU citizens can just go to other member states and even do the paper work afterwards.

azure patio
#

My brother went for work into Germany for 4 months like suddenly from day to day

acoustic pilot
#

They just show up to whatever country, paperwork afterwards

#

Boom, in and done

worn ember
#

wow

acoustic pilot
#

They don't need work permits to apply for a job

#

Unlike non-EU citizens

worn ember
#

thats why all the polish are here working

#

ez money

acoustic pilot
#

Yeah, they can just go there and work without restrictions lol

#

That's what the EU free movement is partially about

worn ember
#

we are happy we can pay them minimum wage and they're happy they get such high pay

#

ยฏ_(ใƒ„)_/ยฏ

acoustic pilot
#

Yeah no doubt

#

They send that money back home and probably live like kings

void void
#

I work in Switzerland and live in Germany, and I am on vacation in the United States right now

worn ember
#

yeah

azure patio
#

yes

#

that's actually happening

worn ember
#

i had an ukranian guy at my work

azure patio
#

a lot of people from czech r. are going to work in other countires and came back rich

worn ember
#

fun guy

#

his english was oof tho

acoustic pilot
#

No doubt this affects the wages in the local job market too, where I bet Germans (just a guess) aren't able to compete with the low wage Polish workers and are getting frustrated, amirite?

#

I mean that seems like an obvious consequence

#

Again, just guessing, but given the freedom of movement of people and labor, the problem probably exists in many rich EU states.

worn ember
#

Yeah

#

Pretty much

acoustic pilot
#

Assuming this is a problem, you can sort of understand why UK wants to Brexit and get rid of freedom of movement and labor.

#

re: control over their own borders

worn ember
#

Yeah but in the end they'll devalue themselves

acoustic pilot
#

Yeah I agree there's a lot to lose than gain here, for them, but still I can sort of understand it

worn ember
#

They just want to make their own decisions

azure patio
#

jesus it's again 3:20 am

void void
#

I don't see UK staying part of the EU for much longer with all the riots and controversial s*hit going on there about it

acoustic pilot
#

Well they won't stay in the UK much longer because of a simple reason, there's still no deal

#

Without a deal, the default is to hard-Brexit

#

And they're headed towards that default.

worn ember
#

Yeah lmao

azure patio
#

makes sense

worn ember
#

I should sleep ;-;

acoustic pilot
#

In the EU, I mean

#

They already had the date extended, but I don't think EU will extend it again

worn ember
#

No they wont

azure patio
#

๐Ÿค”

worn ember
#

The UK doesn't want the current deal. And the EU doesn't want to give anything more

azure patio
#

UK will lost a few good things that offers EU

acoustic pilot
#

Most importantly access to the single market

#

This will be devastating in the short term

#

Also the elimination of free movement of labor will be a big impact too

azure patio
#

^

acoustic pilot
#

I'm fully expecting UK's GDP gains to be wiped out for the next 2-3 years.

worn ember
#

They want free trade but not free travek

#

Travel

void void
#

aka they are wanting to copy america

azure patio
acoustic pilot
#

Yeah, and they will probably succeed if they can tough out the first few years

#

But those first few years will be fucking tough

worn ember
#

They want to be part of the EU without paying for it essentially

#

Murica isn't doing much better though with their trade wars

void void
#

America was free travel until they made it require a visa to enter canada or mexico, and this president making every other country hate them and restricting American access to their countries. Yet this president expects free trade with china.

acoustic pilot
#

Like yeah, shoot yourself in the foot, it'll heal, but you won't be in a stronger position aftwards and you'll always walk with that limp.

#

This is stuff that mostly interests me tho

void void
#

haha I mean I would talk about it if I knew a thing or two about the topic so I wouldn't be called a f**king retard

acoustic pilot
#

Mostly stems from Japan being largely-unapologetic about its war crimes during the occupation of much of Asia, as well as WW2.

#

Japanese officials even went as far as to say Korean comfort women were legal prostitutes.

#

That brothels were legal under Japanese occupation so they did nothing wrong.

#

A stark contrast from the attitude Germany took in trying to reconcile their past atrocities.

#

Japanese colonialism is distorted or flat out not taught in Japanese public schools.

#

This all started to escalate with a South Korean Supreme Court ruling that said victims of Japan's atrocities (some of whom are still alive today) can seek reparations from Japanese businesses.

void void
#

I mean, the american revolution is also not taught here in Deutschland

limber knotBOT

Fucking Yasukini shrine.

#

This man is just pure evil, an asshole.

void void
#

omg lol

#

that's funny

acoustic pilot
#

Past visits by Japanese leaders to Yasukuni have outraged South Korea and China because the shrine honours 14 Japanese wartime leaders convicted as war criminals.

acoustic pilot
#

FWIW, Germany doesn't give respect to blatant war criminals like Japan's current administration does lol

#

The exhibition in the Yasukuni Shrine is not able to exist in Germany. German criminal code inflicts heavy punishment on such beautification of war crimes, and the offenders shall be punished with imprisonment for up to three years or a fine.

unkempt drift

well if you invest it well.

acoustic pilot
#

At 10 million, it's a certainty.

#

You don't even need to invest it wisely.

limber knotBOT
#

oh ok

#

2/3 mil wont generate enough passive income

acoustic pilot
#

You can pull a steady, livable wage from that investment.

unkempt drift
#

well what's the interest rate in the US atm?

peak dirge
#

Hell, even if you're on a modest income, you could retire very well given good money management and living frugally.

unkempt drift
#

for a plain old savings account its like what, just under 2 %?

acoustic pilot
#

Yeah you could

#

$10 million is enough for semi-luxurious retirement

limber knotBOT
#

You can get 3% if you have 100k

unkempt drift
#

3% ok. so 3% of 10mil is 300k a year?

acoustic pilot
#

I'm okay with 100k/yr

peak dirge
#

I'm following the Bogleheads principles

acoustic pilot
#

As a single person

unkempt drift
#

oh for sure. you are a-ok with that.

acoustic pilot
#

200k/yr for a family

#

More than enough

peak dirge
#

Sock away a good chunk of your income into a three-fund portfolio and watch it grow

#

Then when you retire, you draw out just a small portion of your retirement funds (3-4%) each year and live on just that.

acoustic pilot
#

I'm just not very greedy. I don't have financial ambitions.

#

I don't like climbing corporate ladders

#

Competing for wages

#

None of that shit.

#

I only take what I need

peak dirge
#

Yes, that means I'll have to become a millionaire, but I've got a bit of cash already invested in a three-fund portfolio, and it is at least beating inflation (it's certainly doing better than, say, sitting in a bank account losing value due to inflation)

acoustic pilot
#

Very nice

#

Is most of your income in the MC market? I know some people who're doing similar from their servers.

peak dirge
#

Right now, the balance is more in favor of the money I get for college (through a mix of VA, scholarships, and an on-campus job)

acoustic pilot
#

Ah

peak dirge
#

Minecraft makes up a very small portion of my income, but I want that to change

acoustic pilot
#

This market probably won't last very long, but the potential is immense.

#

So capitalize on it while it's there

#

Your skills in this market won't be valuable forever.

peak dirge
#

I'm working on a plan to hedge things long-term

#

I'm betting Minecraft will die and the next new fad will pop up

acoustic pilot
#

Certainly, eventually, though I don't see it in the next 5 years probably.

peak dirge
#

We haven't reached that point yet, but when Roblox is posting over 100 million users, you know Minecraft has some serious competition

acoustic pilot
#

Yep

#

There's a lot of overlap with Fortnite too

peak dirge
#

I'm not into FPS games myself - anything that involves fighting much more than a dumb AI I'm terrible at.

acoustic pilot
#

Yeah but just to be aware that it taps into Minecraft's market

#

By quite a bit

peak dirge
#

Ironically, my skills lay elsewhere. I don't see a future for me in video games except in developing backend services and game servers (not actual game logic, per se)

acoustic pilot
#

I'm curious to see how Hytale will play out. I've been saying from the start, if they can manage 10 million active monthly players within the first few months, it'll be a success.

#

And that has a more monetization-friendly model.

cosmic raft
#

hytale feels dead, no blog posts anymore

peak dirge
#

I don't think Hytale is quite dead yet, but certainly Hypixel generated tons of buzz and it remains to be seen if they can deliver an end product.

rough island
peak dirge
#

Given that Minecraft is experiencing another boom, I do think they're slowing the pace on Hytale

worn ember
#

Nah

#

It's just hyped too soon

peak dirge
#

The way I view it, Hytale is Hypixel's "in case of emergency, break glass" option.

acoustic pilot
#

Perhaps overhyped, yeah

worn ember
#

Or hyped way before they could provide much to show off

peak dirge
#

So if Mojang announced tomorrow they're winding down, Hypixel will have their Plan B and everyone else is screwed (to some extent)

acoustic pilot
#

I think the direction they're going with the project is great, all the things they're doing on the technical side of things, just a bit too soon probably to be showcasing something because the way they're doing it makes it seem like it's only halfway complete.

#

So you got people building up interest over a long period of time and then that interest just fades

worn ember
#

Yeah

#

Pretty much

#

You hype it and release it soon after

#

That's how it should be at least

peak dirge
#

tl;dr: lots of buzz too early, Hypixel's Minecraft server is probably demanding more energy right now, Hytale probably not yet totally dead

acoustic pilot
#

Blizzard isn't even hyping WoW Classic yet, and release is in 12 days

worn ember
#

They're completely different teams tho @peak dirge

peak dirge
#

Yes, but same company, and I'm sure at least some of the staff are shared between the teams.

worn ember
#

So there wouldn't be much benifit in slowing progress down

acoustic pilot
#

It's easier to shift teams than to fire and hire new people, when resources are short.

peak dirge
#

Hypixel only has so many resources, so they would slow Hytale if they needed it for Hypixel

acoustic pilot
#

So I can imagine Hypixel the parent company shifts people between teams when needed

#

Otherwise when resources are short, they have to fire people and hire new people in the necessary teams

peak dirge
#

And by the time that's over, the need might have subsided.

acoustic pilot
#

Yeah, hiring process takes too much time

#

And it's just, not very nice to fire someone just for that reason

frosty yacht
#

my server provider allocates memory as its needed instead of just being a fixed number. is this normal? thonk

acoustic pilot
#

If you could've just moved them to a different team

peak dirge
#

So it makes sense that they'd take people off the Hytale team and refocus their efforts on Hypixel, as it demands more resources right now to sustain its massive player count

acoustic pilot
#

Yep

#

The Hytale consists of Java developers, since the server is Java. Perfect match for moving people around.

peak dirge
#

For me, that makes sense, especially since Hytale is essentially Hypixel hedging against Minecraft dying tomorrow.

acoustic pilot
#

Hytale team*

peak dirge
#

That's a smart business move.

acoustic pilot
#

Hytale in general was a smart business move, IMO

#

Like you said, their current business model is built on top of someone else's business

#

It could go away tomorrow.

#

This is where they shine, they are good at block games.

#

Even if Hytale as a platform won't be something widespread for the rest of us to capitalize on, Hytale will have secured their own future.

#

Hypixel*

merry talon
#

I stand by hytale failing spectacularly

acoustic pilot
#

It'll have enough of a following for Hypixel to fallback on.

#

That isn't to say it'll be big, but enough

peak dirge
#

We don't know if it will be a successful hedge, but I think Hypixel was smart to start working on Hytale so they have their plan B

#

It'll at least be successful enough so that Hypixel will eke out a business, I think.

acoustic pilot
#

Yep, agreed.

#

And this will exist concurrently with their Minecraft business for a long time, any way

#

So it'll have a nurturing environment to grow in.

peak dirge
#

And if all else fails... I'm sure Hypixel has cash reserves built up so they'll be able to weather an extended period of losses

#

It's what kept Nintendo alive while they were looking to find their footing in the game market when the Wii U turned out to not be such a success after the blockbuster that was the Wii

acoustic pilot
#

Yeah a business like Hypixel with the foresight to do a Plan B will also have a Plan C (cash reserves)

#

Some downsizing should let them weather an extended period of loss.

#

Worst case.

limber knotBOT
#

If hytale performs well, I would like to see it succeed

acoustic pilot
#

Me too, because I want to monetize it.

limber knotBOT

austere ivy

No offense sorry but they're trying to replicate Minecraft but more "high quality" and it doesn't work imo.

Mainly the player models.

They're like Minecraft and the new Roblox player models but mashed together.

austere ivy

merry talon
#

No one has

austere ivy
#

Well of course some people have..

#

Anyway, that's not important. I'm just saying one of the biggest drawbacks for me is the art style and the fact that I just don't like it.

#

People forget that Minecraft isn't just about how nice the codebase is, or how many features there are, or how easily it's modded.

#

For regular players, they don't care about that.

#

What they do IMMEDIATELY see, is yes, features, and performance, but a LARGE PART of what they immediately see is the art.

placid thicket
#

anyone? got any answers?

austere ivy
#

And I don't really think it has that unique charm.

#

One of the best things about Minecraft is (was, 1.14's textures kinda ruined it but whatever, that's a different topic) it's unique art style.

#

It's blocky but not low quality. It's a unique charm.

#

Same with things like Terraria, they have their own charm.

#

Again maybe it's because I haven't played it and I don't know how the actual game feels (because that's important).

#

I just think that they need to seriously work on fleshing out the artstyle and making it a lot more unique, because currently it looks like just a Minecraft clone.

not even mentioning the godly x - -x

void void

Using his code

quasi valley
void void

and it works fine, I haven't had it hit restricted bounds at all and it hasn't gone over abs 5000, so working as intended

dawn ledge
void void
jaunty oriole
#

but have you tried the code once

void void
#

now you guys are trolling

#

I am using his code

quasi valley
#

let's break it down:
(5000 - (-5000)) - (501 - (-501)) = 8998, so that's that
every number < 2^31 (or something like that) will be = 0 with >> 31

void void
#

so I have used it a few dozen times now

quasi valley
#

so (501 * ((x >> 31) | 1)) + 0.5 will ALWAYS return 501.5 or its negative in these boundaries

void void
#

and that's the point

#

It needs to be greater then 500 blocks away from 0 0

#

so again working as intended

#

and (5000 - (-5000)) - (501 - (-501)) is used in random.nextInt

#

well

#

here

#

what are you trying to do?

quasi valley
#

yes. but x + (501 * ((x >> 31) | 1)) + 0.5; = x +- 501.5

void void
#
Random random = new Random();
        int x = random.nextInt((4500 - (-4500)) - (501 - (-501))) - 4500;
        this.x = x + (501 * ((x >> 31) | 1)) + 0.5;
        int z = random.nextInt((4500 - (-4500)) - (501 - (-501))) - 4500;
        this.z = z + (501 * ((z >> 31) | 1)) + 0.5;
#

This is the code I am using currently

quasi valley
#

which is nothing but a great troll

void void
#

you just want a number in [-5000,5000]?

#

random.nextInt(9000) - 4500

#

Yeah I'm pretty sure the random int generation doesn't need to look like that

#

((x >> 31) | 1)) shifts 501 negative if x is negative or positive if x is positive

#

however the next line is fine

#

the shifting

austere ivy
#

What does #spigot() do?

void void
#

why the shifting, why so complex

#

idk why im just saying it's fine

#

leaf did it afaik

#

ask leaf

#

generate a random number between -5000 through 5000 excluding -500 through 500

quasi valley
#

like once again, please for the love of god execute (501 * ((x >> 31) | 1)) + 0.5 in a short java test project

void void
#

I know how it works kenny

austere ivy
#

What does .spigot() do?

quasi valley
#

because 501 * +-1 + 0.5 = +-501

austere ivy
#

I guess, Player.spigot() do?

void void
#

it gives you access to spigot methods

#

spigot-specific

#

^

austere ivy
#

but they're all deprecated

quasi valley
#

and x+=501 is not random

void void
#

most of them have been moved into Player itself brian

#

it's kinda old

#

It is not supposed to be!

austere ivy
#

why's it there then o-O

void void
#

compatibility

#

for people still using it

#

Did I just not explain it needs to exclude -500 through 500

austere ivy
#

ah yes

void void
#

so +- 500 is right

austere ivy
#

compatibility

void void
#

if they remove it, mounds of plugins will break

austere ivy
#

amazing

void void
#

including mine

quasi valley
#

but its only ever teleporting 500 blocks

#

not more or less

#

just 500

void void
#

a big project has to be very careful with api changes

austere ivy
#

Gotta have breaking API changes sometime, move on from the past..

void void
#

it's adding +- 501 not setting it to that

#

and they will

#

does this look like 501 x and z to you?

#

(random.nextInt(4500) + 500) * (random.nextBoolean() ? 1 : -1)

#

hes gonna argue with you guys forever

austere ivy
#

Maybe 1.15 will be the update that fixes everything in Minecraft itself, and then Spigot can finally have breaking API changes and remove everything they've wanted to remove and fix it all and Paper can do the same.

quasi valley
#

yeah I was talking relative terms

#

shouldnt a random teleporter teleport you randomly, not in an exact 500 blocks circle from your pos?

void void
#

that's not how it works, the code does not even account player location at all

#

Greater then 500 blocks away from 0 0 is the precondition
Within +- 5000 blocks is another precondition
The rest is testing if the spawn location is safe, if not it searches for another location

quasi valley
#

but again its only going in steps of 500 blocks

void void
#

just give them access to /tp and offload the math to them

#

I'm dead

#

im sorry for your loss

quasi valley
#

fine if you dont care to have non troll code, but then heres another tip; store the method reference if youre doing reflection more often, saves a bit

void void
#

I'm not sure how you get "steps of 500" out of greater then 500 blocks from 0 0. It is not a multiple of 500, it is a random number between -5000 and 5000 excluding -500 through 500

quasi valley
#

not much, but a bit

#

its not a multiple of 500

#

its just plain x += 501.5 or x-=501.5

#

and if that method is executed more than once, it'll just do that again

void void
#

The method resets x and z to new values every time, it doesn't add on to the previous values

quasi valley
#

oh

#

my

#

god

#

sorry

#

I cant read, for once I'm the idiot

#

.. tho still, x --x - y --y :D

#

and store the method reference

void void
quasi valley
#

just use the actual number

void void
#

why is the math written like this

#

its unreadable and wrong

#

ask leaf

he wrote it

#

(4500 - (-4500)) - (501 - (-501)) is wrong

very wrong

I guess it could be rewritten as random.nextInt(10_000) - 5_000

and just use the shift

it's not 10_000 tho?

#

run it

#

-5000 through 5000 would be random.nextInt(10_000) - 5_000

#

since at most 10_000 minus 5_000 is 5_000 which is in bounds

#

no im saying what the fuck is (4500 - (-4500)) - (501 - (-501)) and why did anyone write it

and at least 0 mius 5_000 is -5_000 which is in bounds

#

it evaluates to 7998

#

that would be a question for leaf, it looked realistic when he gave it to me late at night when I couldn't think straight but now it doesn't make sense at all except for the +- shift.

As soon as I spoon his food towards the center, he's back to eating it

#

He has developed 1 bent whisker though, I wonder if that has something to do with it

#

I don't want to trim or pluck it, as that can cause a cat intense pain

#

Waiting for it to shed could take a while too

#

lol, this article seems to suggest it's fairly normal though

#

Given all the memes and all

quasi valley
#

the only contact with cats I have/had is the cat of our neighbour occasionally slipping through the fence into our garden

acoustic pilot
#

Oh so cats do this because their whiskers come in contact with the edges of the bowl, and this is very discomforting for them because of sensory overload.

celest coyote
#

maybe geta different type of serving dish

acoustic pilot
#

I should probably get him a bigger boal.

#

Yeah

#

bowl*

#

Maybe my cat's whiskers grew recently lol

celest coyote
#

get a bowl that is deeper in the middle

#

like a curve

#

so all the food falls to the center

acoustic pilot
#

That'd still have the whisker problem

#

Because his whiskers would have to also go into that depth

celest coyote
#

ah right

acoustic pilot
#

And would come in contact with the edges

#

I think just an open plate would be good

#

No edges

#

Something flatter

void void
#

My cat does that too

#

And yes it's due to the whiskers

#

Gotta have a flatter plane to eat off of

#

Otherwise they'll pick at it until it starts hitting their whiskers

acoustic pilot
#

Yeah mine is actually a really small bowl

#

The waterbowl is actually bigger, like twice the size

#

I think I'll start using taht for food

#

Maybe taht bowl is the one that was supposed to be used for food in the first place lol

#

(came as a set)

#

Come to think of it... he actually hasn't be drinking completely out of his waterbowl recently either

#

He only drinks from the top

peak kite
#

any of youz have 1.14.4 with multiverse portals?

acoustic pilot
#

So maybe that bowl is no good either

#

I have to constantly refill his water these days even though it's kinda full

#

Or else he won't drink it

#

Definitely has to be whiskers

void void
#

Yeah the whiskers rub up against the side of the bowl and unfortunately the whiskers are directly connected to a cat's nervous system (if you touch it, you'll actually notice his eye on the side you're touching will close)

#

So it's a bit of a struggle

acoustic pilot
#

Yeah, but feels better knowing what it is now

#

Can take corrective action

#

He's not lethargic or anything, he's a bit less playful but he's like 15 now, so very much old and grumpy. Still eats, still drinks, still jumpy. Just this one issue had me a bit concerned.

#

I'm guessing with older age he just doesn't want to deal with all that shit anymore lol

#

Probably just roughed it out previously

#

Oh nice, there are actually "whisker friendly" food and water bowls sold on Amazon.

peak kite
#

Well, i can't get mv portals to work in 1.14.4, got any world portal suggestions?

#

My worlds are different size, and the portal between them end up at a random spot on the bigger world.

How's performance on 1.14 now?

quasi valley
#

fine... unless you generate chunks ๐Ÿ‘€

I just installed paper on a brand new SYS GAME-2 and it's running ok

#

but yeah didn't gen chunks, just loaded

tardy lynx
#

hmm

peak kite
#

yea gen chunks was less painful when i tried the async version

quasi valley
#

isnt that pr only async loading, not async generation?

Is possible that some entities can lose after eg 7 days persistent data?

#

I don't know how it could happen

peak kite
#

oh, i suppose my performance difference IS technially with an already generated world. nvm... filling with mv only reveals already gen land with my specific world.. i have yet to test it with a true generator like cityworld..

#

But i'll take it.. n e way. It is nice seeing dual cpus not play dueling banjos all the time.

Any ideas why it maven doesn't recognize version of a jar that was installed to local maven repo?
I used this command: mvn install:install-file -Dfile=%s -DgroupId=%s -DartifactId=%s -Dversion=%s -Dpackaging=jar -DgeneratePom=true It recognizes everything but version pretty much.
This is the directory content of that version: https://i.imgur.com/jIVYWwN.png
