I feel like, with the way stories, you know, work, that Swann almost can't be dirty at this point
like it would feel like a pretty boring mystery if the resolution was that
although maybe it is just the simple way
I can't recall the book enough to remember what the deal with Swann is, but yeah...
man those reacher episodes go by fast ๐
slow runner though ๐
wouldn't you be at that size?
I don't know have you seen how fast some of those rugby players can be ?
(also I'm not as big but I am definitely slower than him :p)
we don't really have rugby here, so no ๐
but yeah fair point
half the fun of watching Reacher is making fun of his largeness though
I'm enjoying that this Reacher appears to be having an examined internal life. Having just finished reading BLUE MOON, the book Reacher frequently just seems just operate on a kind of autopilot sociopathy.
And I'm convinced O'Donnell is not what he seems, though this episode did make that stance hard to hold to.
Reacher in the books can't really afford to be particularly reflective on his situation because Lee Child has to crank out a new book every year for the rest of time and so kinda needs him to be relatively static as a character. I'm pretty sure the last character change that stuck about Jack Reacher in the books is when he started carrying an ID after 9/11.
Whereas the TV show will be lucky if it gets a half dozen seasons and thus can afford to have Jack Reacher think about how he lives and maybe change a little bit here and there. Over time.
Well that and you have to give actors something to work with and something for the audience to connect with.
