#Clip contest graffiti?

The idea is. Every month or so have a clip contest where anyone can submit a clip, then have like a couple clips vote against each other at a time like a bracket I suppose. Then the winner of the contest gets to pick a design idea, (Lowkey I could draw) and it's marked as a graffiti on the map somewhere. A wall. A small memento, like yk a dent in a spot in the wall or something.

Ideas? I think it would add some character into the map too, finally have a separate channel to collect and hold all the winning clips with labels and a photo of the graffiti on the map.

P.s the votes would obviously have to be held in like a mod only channel or something where polls could be set up correctly

Anyway, the graffities from simple clips are kinda underwhelming. If we take CS for example, it's graffities come from generational level plays at the highest pro level.

And i don't think my flashbang kills count

With current meta development, the level of randomness involvement and multiple unfixed combos you have to really try to find an actually good clip, that isn't just good luck, or trash enemies, or plain rarity diff

I like the idea of like a weekly or monthly clip contest but I don't really think there needs to be any kind of reward. Especially because that is more of a post launch kind of thing imo. I wouldn't really want the expectation for ben to add that basically every month or need to worry about that.

Personally would much rather it simply be something like the clip of the month gets pinned and they get rotated out when the channel pins is full or something.

If bencelot wants to add highlights to like a skillshot highlights youtube channel or something past that could be cool or even anyone really.

Although skill shot city is an exciting game some things that are more rare also aren't the most flashy. Like getting 2 roadkills on unaware players is rare and it is well played and impactful but its not really flashy and there is no tension to make the clip compelling.

I do kind of second that idea that if we are putting up something on the digital fridge it shouldn't be because it was the best clip this month but something memorable or wild that no one can question was sick.

I don't really think now in the games lifespan is when we should really worry about that being a thing yet though.

I could be wrong but thats just my thoughts on it

Not saying I am a paragon of this but we should try to discuss things in good faith here and be constructive. We are all on the same team and just want the game and community to do well

If you are doing the work and bence wants any of this then I don't care its his game and I like posting clips and seeing people get excited about content for the game of course. I just honestly have a hard time imagining what this would look like the more I think about it. I do just think something simple like pinning the highlight of the month is a lot more practical and sensical. It is very simply bence's decision though

I also think clip competitions are fun... and actually smart in a marketing sense? Since it provides publicity to the game if we post on Tiktok or Youtube Shorts or whatever and vote on them. Fine without reward

We have the weekly community cup games. Monthly in-game leaderboard for ranked. Then an additional monthly clip contest. You'd need a moderator to support it unless we want bence to do all the labor, and some number of streamers to post them? Or it could be like, the winner gets to be posted on the "gameplay of the month" special tiktok page bencelot makes

I also like the idea of like.... a single wall somewhere in game with graffiti on it honoring the community or its accomplishments, maybe just the back wall of the entire map

Low cost, would take like... idk 10 years to fill or so at 12 graffitis per year

All in all, overall support. Unknown about reward and supporting infrastructure. I think it'd help marketing. And we care about marketing since it means more players which is more fun -- the game is so much more fun now than it was a year ago, and it was fun a year ago

though I personally right now don't have the time to support it or moderate it.. I've got too much other stuff to fix atm!

but if mods or the community want to try organise something here then 100% that'd be amazing

and maybe after a month or two of seeign how it evolves, if enough ppl are into it I can support it in a more official manner

I could perhaps have some small Coupon code system where people enter a special code to get a +100 uranium prize or something

I'm definitely happy to give small bonus rewards like that to support cool community projects and compeitions! Cause that'd be fast and easy for me to do then I can go back to marketing/bug fixing etc
