#Zombie teammate indicators

I would love to be able to tell which of my teammate's are zombies without them being in visual range.

I suggest changing the minimap icons for zombie teammates. Perhaps triangles instead of circles, or a Z stamped onto the icon or a purple border around the green circle.

Thanks, and thanks for making such a great game 🙂

Good idea. Ideally a hp indicator for allies as well, maybe above the health bar

Nice, love it

Somewhat related, I'd also suggest a "death icon" (skull?) that appears on the minimap where a teammate died and hangs around for about 5seconds - just to help keep the team up to speed with what's happening.

good idea

curious, in typical games how strictly do you and your allies stick together, vs branch out?

thick raven

Generally we spread out a lot at the start and then less so as the game goes on and the consequences for dying get higher. Strictly together at the end

winter turret
#

that makes sense

#

I think that's common

#

why do you spread out? Just cause the game happens to tug you in different directions?

thick raven
#

I think to get more resources overall. More special crate etc

After saying it though I'm now wondering if it actually works out that way

winter turret
#

it kinda doesn't tbh, because you can share resources with allies (except hearts)

#

but it's understandable though

#

I find myself naturally running off to a vendor, and then before I know it my ally has done the same, now I'm in a fight, we're split up, and the game kinda takes you from one thing to another, which is probs fine. Also dying and rezing as a zombie naturally splits players apart

Yeah. We do point out the blue crates and head to them to share the res. But that's a relatively small share of the res

winter turret
#

yup, and late game anyway when the circle has already forced everyone together

thick raven
#

So we probably find more of them when spreading out. But it's probably not worth it

winter turret
#

I'm considering making zombie crates visible on the minimap even for survivors

#

just to give a point of interest to head towards

thick raven
#

Oh yeah?

winter turret
#

$250 per heart fragment still gives $2000 to fight over

#

and also, a guaranteed spot to find enemies

#

I'll play around with it

Sounds good

Yeah we tend a drift a bit more than we should, but we're gradually getting better at staying quite close. Naturally you get situations where you're trekking across the map after someone resurrects far away too.

winter turret
#

yah, I'll play with the respawning and try get it a bit closer

tulip nest
#

you also don't want to be too close ofc; nades and miniguns have wiped us hard at times

#

No need to make it too close; those treks can be fun too, hiding from other squads

winter turret
#

true, good incentive to use cars too

tulip nest
#

yes 😄

winter turret
#

Done!

thick raven
#

Just played with it. Nice one, I like the icon

winter turret
#

cheers for the idea

These changes are a real gamechanger for squad play. Being able to see the status of your team helps so much when deciding what to do and where to go.

winter turret
#

Any other info you would find useful?

tulip nest
#

I guess if there was some way to identify squad members on the map, as in who is who, that would help.

#

Maybe the shapes idea that Battleshorts suggested?

#

or just a small label

#

We had three players for a while last night, with one being a new player. It would be nice to be able to quickly see who is the bot and who is the new player that might need help.

winter turret
#

that's a good point

#

I'll see what I can do

tulip nest
#

Otherwise totally amazing; exactly what was needed.
